How important is Logo Designing?

An image or words or letters or a combination of these is a logo. It is an identification of the brand. Scribble scrolls believe that the simpler the logo, more apparent the recall.
A logo building process is a primary step to build a valuable brand. It is the association mark of the company. For example, when I say a yellow ‘M’, McDonald’s is the first thing that comes to our minds. It is a graphic representation of the brand. While designing a logo, less is more.
A logo should signify the brand & its implications and purposes. If McDonald’s had the symbol of a gun, it wouldn’t have made that profound impact on its current ‘M’.
A lot of engineering is employed in making a simple logo. Let’s also keep in mind that this logo will be printed and displayed everywhere- on the products, letterheads, business cards, merchandises, signboards, outside the office, websites etc. The logo should be designed in a manner which is easily adaptable in all these places.
A picture says a thousand words. since a logo is a graphical representation of the brand, the logo should be timeless, in a sense it should carry the same meaning ten years later as it does today. Many logos are upgraded or modified with time; for example, Apple’s current silver apple was altered from a rainbow colored apple. But the logo didn’t have a 360-degree change.
These are certain things to be kept in mind apart from the available colors, typography, and dimensions while designing a logo.
